Board Meeting Minutes
7-1-21
Because of the lack of members available on June 30, the recreation board meeting was moved to July 1, 2021 at 7AM. The meeting of the Caldwell Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:03AM in the BOE office with three members present. Also, present was Sean Blosser, director and Alan Jamison, Secretary. Jake Ginn and Jeff Ediger, members, were absent.
The agenda was then approved as presented.
The minutes from last meeting were not available and will be reviewed at the next meeting.
An oral report from the director was reviewed. It included updates on the fence, REAL program, baseball, and softball.
The board discussed the bills that need to be paid in July. There are also personnel that will be paid once baseball and softball ends. The secretary presented the budget for approval. Amanda Eckermann moved and Ryan Mayo seconded the motion to approve the budget for publication as presented and to pay any outstanding bills and personnel as discussed. Passed 3-0. The budget hearing will take place at 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in the district office.
Under old business, the board reviewed the director’s contract for 2021-22. A motion by Amanda Eckermann, 2nd by Ryan Mayo to extend the current contract at the same rate of pay, passed 3-0.
The next recreation board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 28 at approximately 8:05PM in the BOE office. (This meeting will follow the budget hearing which is set for 8:00PM that evening.)
With no other items on the agenda, the board adjourned at 7:28AM.
